Mortgage dated March 21, 1850 for two parcels of land, one about eighteen acres with buildings, the other twenty acres more or less. Land deeded and mortgaged by William H. Bass to Reuben Fisher for four hundred and fifty dollars. Registered in Book No. 160, page 41.
From Probate Court, Commonwealth of Mass. to William Bass the notice to inventory the estate of Samuel Moor to settle the estate. Dated Feb 3, 1863.
Lease made June 15, 1857 between Charles Pomeroy as executor of Justus Russell estate and William R. Ball for the home place of Justus Russell. The term of the lease was for one year and the annual amount paid was $90.00. The leasee was to pay the rent by paying the highway taxes on said estate and the remainder in money. If the house was to be occupied by a family the rent was to be ten dollars more.

Three handwritten poems: "The Birthday" which begins "Sixteen years have before me rolled/The seventeenth I've met/And may I live as though my soul/Would meet an after life." "Thoughts on Contemplating the Close of Life" which begins "My friends mourn not for me/But rather for yourselves/Mourn not that I am called from thee/To dwell with Christ above." Untitled poem - lines composed upon an address to the scholars by the minister of the town. Poem dated February 1830. Poem begins "May I in future recollect/And ever keep in mind/Those words which were so kindly spoke/To instruct the youthful mind."
A 3 1/2 page letter addressed to Jean [Farwell], May 11th, 1991. Handwriting is hard to read, but it seems to be about family matters and visits to Warwick. Signed "With love, Katherine" [Bass].
Letter and envelope dated March 1888 from Bass to Black, Comm of Pensions, Wash D.C. requesting a pension be given to a Warwick resident. Harwood Proctor served 3 years in the war, has a large family, has heart trouble and deserves a pension. "I remain a copper head" states Bass who at this writing says he is 77 yrs old
