On back of record is hand-written note by whom not known. Cornelius Allen was husband of Susanna Cady Allen, grandfather of Eva Allen who was adopted by William H. Bass. Eva was the daughter of Marcus D. Allen; Eva's mother having died giving birth to Eva. Other records contradict this information.

More questions than answers are raised by this search. Horace Allen and March C. Bladgett have a daughter (Eva M.) born in West Boylston, Massachusetts on July 13/14, 1854 just days before the death of Horace's wife Nancy, who dies at age 25. Since baby Eva was conceived and born while Horace was married to Nancy, it's possible that Horace's uncle Marcus was named as the father. And so it goes. Eva was eventually adopted by William H. Bass.

Alexander S. Follett and William Dickinson, both of Winchester, NH for the consideration of Two Hundred dollars paid by William W.Bass for a tract of land deeded to Follett and Dickinson by Charles R. Gale on January 16, 1868.

This xeroxed sheet lists family members of Obediah and Delia Bass with birthdates. Also listed is family of Azariah and Elizabeth Barbar.

For the consideration of One Thousand dollars the wood and timber on a tract of land. From April 1, 1888 for one-year William W. Bass can cut and carry away the timber. William Bass will pay the taxes for the year 1888.

Nathaniel G. Stevens to William H. Bass the sum of two hundred dollars both agreeing to this sum for settlement in the case of "Stevens vs. Bass" pending before the Court of Common.

Mortgage dated March 21, 1850 for two parcels of land, one about eighteen acres with buildings, the other twenty acres more or less. Land deeded and mortgaged by William H. Bass to Reuben Fisher for four hundred and fifty dollars. Registered in Book No. 160, page 41.
